Supervisor, Food Service; Cafe Kudu

Responsibilities

• Assist the managers with the daily operational responsibilities.
• Ensure staff is following proper opening and closing procedures in assigned areas.
• Help ensure that the operation is running properly and efficiently, while meeting and exceeding budgeted goals.
• Help supervise staff to make sure all cash-handling policies and procedures are being followed.
• Relieve staff in assigned areas for breaks and lunches at appropriate times throughout the day.
• Ensure staff is providing “World Class Service” to all customers.
• Work directly with customers and solve any issues that may arise.
• Ensure sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness are monitored and enforced.
• Assist with training and performance of assigned personnel.
• Support the manager with departmental goals and objectives relating to the business.
• The starting rate for this position is $17.00 per hour but may increase based on availability and experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent required with some college preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a fast paced, large volume atmosphere preferred.
• Must have flexible hours.
• Work schedule varies, but is mostly days with some evening events.
• Must be available weekends and holidays.
• Work schedules change according to business demands.
• General familiarity of Microsoft Excel and Word required.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate a plus.
• All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check and drug test.
