Retail Sales Associate

Retail Sales Associate in Maternity/Children’s Resale & Retail (Part-time or Full-time). As a Kangaroo Kids Sales Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service standards, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets while engaging with parents in this children’s and maternity resale store.

• Part-time: 25 hours per week
• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Hours: Must be available to work 4-8 hour shifts (Mon - Sat, 9:30a - 6:30p and Sun 11:30a - 4:30p)
• Pay: $15-18/hour to start, depending on experience

• Deliver exceptional customer service by actively engaging with parents and children, ensuring a welcoming and supportive shopping experience.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by restocking merchandise and arranging displays to highlight key products.
• Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring a smooth checkout experience for all customers.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies to the management team.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Stay informed about product knowledge and promotions to effectively communicate benefits and features to customers.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

• Experience in retail or customer service roles, ideally within a children's or maternity store.
• Ability to engage warmly with customers, ensuring a welcoming and supportive shopping experience.
• Proven track record of maintaining an organized and visually appealing sales floor.
• Strong skills in processing sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve sales targets.
• Experience in inventory management, including conducting stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
• Strong product knowledge and the ability to communicate benefits and features to customers effectively.
