We’re looking for a Project Accounting Coordinator to join our team and support the financial success of our projects from startup through closeout. In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Accounting to set up projects, manage funding and budgets, support client billing, and help ensure project financial data remains accurate throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both people and numbers, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment. Experience in a professional services setting such as engineering, consulting, architecture, construction management, utilities, or government contracting is highly preferred.
What Your Day Will Look Like Project Accounting & Financial Management- Set up new projects in Deltek Vantagepoint based on contract terms, purchase orders, funding authorizations, and company standards
- Maintain project structures, billing terms, labor categories, funding limits, and rate schedules.
- Track purchase orders, change orders, and project modifications.
- Monitor project funding utilization and identify potential over-budget or funding limitation concerns.
- Review unbilled (WIP) balances and investigate billing delays or project expectations.
- Partner with Project Managers to support project financial performance and identify risks related to scope, funding, and project budgets.
