The Key Account Representative is responsible for managing, supporting, and expanding Ronnoco Food service's key regional customer relationships in partnership with the Regional Sales team. This role focuses on driving sustainable revenue growth, strengthening customer retention, and ensuring a high level of service execution across assigned key accounts.
The position serves as a strategic liaison between customers, Regional Sales Representatives, and internal teams by providing proactive account management, operational support, and insight-driven recommendations. The Key Account Representative leverages strong product knowledge, CRM tools, and business acumen to identify growth opportunities, support major installations and upgrades, resolve issues efficiently, and reinforce Ronnoco's value proposition in competitive environments. This role is critical to protecting and expanding high-value accounts while enhancing long-term customer loyalty.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintain accurate and up-to-date key account information using CRM and database management systems
- Proactively manage assigned key accounts to grow sales, strengthen relationships, and resolve issues
- Support Regional Sales Representatives in executing account strategies that drive revenue growth and customer retention
- Develop a working knowledge of the regional customer base, including existing account structures and decision makers
- Identify and execute upsell opportunities across coffee, allied products, and service solutions
- Support equipment upgrades, POS enhancements, and replacements as customer needs evolve
- Clearly communicate and reinforce Ronnoco's value proposition in competitive sales situations
- Assist with large installations, conversions, and customer onboarding initiatives
- Understand customer requirements, expectations, and operational challenges to deliver tailored solutions
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge across beverages, equipment, and service offerings
- Respond promptly and professionally to all customer requests and inquiries
- Monitor sales trends within assigned territories and report material changes or risks
- Assist the Sales team with reporting, data analysis, and special projects as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the coffee or beverage industry; barista experience preferred
- Proven ability to communicate confidently and effectively in group settings, including customer presentations, training sessions, and on-site meetings with multiple stakeholders
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product benefits, operational solutions, and Ronnoco's value proposition to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to create and deliver professional presentations
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn CRM systems and internal software tools
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated experience supporting or managing accounts across multiple regions
- Prior experience working within a CRM-driven sales environment
- Willingness and ability to travel weekly, including overnight travel as required
