Position: Mechanical Sales Representative (HVAC)
Location: St. Louis

Position Overview:

Concentric Corporation is conducting a search for an experienced Mechanical Sales Representative (HVAC) to support business growth throughout the St. Louis market. This role is responsible for developing new client relationships, expanding existing accounts, and identifying project opportunities within the mechanical construction industry.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems sales and thrives in a relationship-driven environment. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to contractors, engineers, facility managers, developers, and building owners while helping clients identify solutions that support their project goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, architects, facility managers, developers, and building owners
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within commercial and industrial markets
  • Generate and manage project opportunities from initial contact through project completion
  • Prepare proposals, bids, quotations, and project estimates
  • Conduct customer meetings and job site visits to assess project requirements and recommend solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Negotiate pricing, project scope, and contract terms
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulations, technologies, and market developments
  • Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade associations to strengthen market presence
  • Achieve established sales goals and revenue objectives
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within CRM systems
Work Environment:
  • Primarily based in the St. Louis market
  • Regular local travel to customer sites, project meetings, and networking events
  • Combination of field-based relationship management and office responsibilities
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of sales experience within HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, or construction-related industries
  • Strong understanding of commercial and industrial building systems
  • Demonstrated success developing business and achieving sales targets
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the territory
Preferred Experience:
  • Existing relationships within the St. Louis construction and building services market
  • Experience selling mechanical systems, equipment, service agreements, or construction-related solutions
  • Technical education or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
