Fire & Rescue Equipment Sales Representative

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days look the same, but you can expect to:

• Build lasting relationships with fire departments, municipalities, and emergency service organizations throughout your territory.
• Demonstrate industry-leading fire and rescue equipment, explain product capabilities, and help customers choose the solutions that best fit their operational needs.
• Guide customers through the entire purchasing process—from the first conversation to delivery and beyond.
• Become a trusted advisor by understanding each department's unique challenges and recommending the right equipment—not just making a sale.
• Follow Mac Queen's proven 5-4-3-2-1 Sales Methodology while developing new business and growing existing accounts.
• Stay informed on competitor products and market trends to position Mac Queen as the preferred partner.
• Maintain accurate customer activity, opportunities, forecasts, wins, and losses within our CRM.
• Help customers understand available financing options to make purchasing new and used apparatus easier.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly while delivering the exceptional service Mac Queen is known for.
• Roll up your sleeves and jump in wherever needed to support the team and our customers.

You don’t have to be a firefighter—but you do need to understand what exceptional service and relationships look like.

• An Associate degree in Business, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Five or more years of successful outside sales experience, preferably within the fire service, emergency services, municipal, fleet, heavy equipment, or related industries.
• Experience using CRM platforms and ERP systems such as CDK.
• A self‑starter mentality—you don’t wait for opportunities; you create them.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills that make customers want to work with you for years.
• Excellent organization, follow‑through, and attention to detail.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technology.
• A passion for serving first responders and helping them succeed in the field.

Candidate should live within the assigned sales territory to effectively support customers, conduct on‑site demonstrations, and respond quickly to department needs.

• Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move frequently
• Occasional repetitive motion and grasping; climbing to reach areas on equipment
• Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
• Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
• Travel by car frequently, by air occasionally
