The Landscape Account Manager will meet with customers, evaluate landscaping needs,prepare estimates and proposals, coordinate approved projects, and maintainongoing customer relationships. The position is well suited for an entry-levelcandidate with strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills who is interested in developing a long-term career in landscape salesand project management. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the current salespersonduring a structured period to learn existing residential and commercial accounts, customer expectations, pricing practices, and company procedures.
· Build and maintain professional, long-termrelationships with customers.
· Meet with current and prospective customers to evaluate property needs, discuss available services, and recommend solutions aligned with their goals and budgets.
· Conduct site visits, take measurements,document conditions, and gather the information needed to prepare accurateestimates and proposals.
· Prepare and present proposals, service agreements, project scopes, and pricing to customers.
· Follow up on leads and outstanding proposals and maintain consistent communication throughout the sales process.
· Coordinate approved work with operations,field crews, vendors, and office personnel to support proper scheduling and execution.
· Communicate project scope, customer expectations, material needs, scheduling requirements, and approved changes tothe appropriate internal teams.
· Monitor active projects and visit job sites asneeded to confirm progress, quality, and alignment with the approved scope.
· Keep customers informed of project status,scheduling changes, delays, and other relevant developments.
· Identify scope changes, additional work, orservice opportunities and obtain customer approval before work proceeds.
· Resolve customer questions or concerns in partnership with operations and company leadership.
· Maintain accurate records of customeractivity, proposals, projects, follow-up commitments, and account details.
· Confirm project completion and customer satisfaction and support any necessary follow-up.
· Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.
· Develop new residential and commercialbusiness through referrals, networking, incoming leads, and relationship-building activities.
· Build working knowledge of the company’slandscaping, maintenance, irrigation, lawn care, hardscaping, seasonal, andenhancement services.
· Represent Horstmann Brothers Landscapingprofessionally during customer meetings, site visits, networking events, and community activities.
Requirements
:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Associates or Bachelor's degree in horticulture,business admin, marketing, or other related fields a plus.
· Current commercial pesticide applicator’slicense or willingness to obtain the license is a bonus.
· Previous experience in customer service, sales,account management, landscaping, construction, property services, or project coordination is helpful but not required.
· Possess strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
· Ability and willingness to learn landscapingservices, estimating, sales, account management, and project coordination.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to build and maintain professional customer relationships.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability tomanage multiple accounts, proposals, projects, and follow-up commitments.
· Attention to detail when preparing estimates,documenting project requirements, and communicating scope.
· Ability to work independently while coordinatingeffectively with field crews, office personnel, vendors, and company leadership.
· Sound judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
· Basic proficiency with email, Microsoft Office,and electronic recordkeeping systems.
· Ability to learn company estimating, scheduling,and customer-management software.
· Valid driver’s license (Class E preferred) withan acceptable driving record.
· Ability to travel locally to residential and commercial properties throughout the St. Louis area.
