Sales Consultant

Paychex seeks a Sales Consultant to drive mid-market growth in the finance and insurance sector. In this consultative role, you'll prospect and qualify leads, uncover client HR, payroll, and benefits needs, and position Paychex solutions to improve efficiency and compliance. You'll deliver tailored demos, build strong relationships with decision-makers, and partner with implementation and service teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify mid-market finance and insurance clients for Paychex HR, payroll, and benefits solutions
• Conduct consultative discovery to understand client needs, compliance requirements, and current processes
• Deliver tailored product demos and proposals that align Paychex offerings with client business goals
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close new business and expand existing accounts
• Collaborate with implementation, service, and product teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction
• Maintain a strong opportunity pipeline using CRM tools and accurately forecast sales results
• Stay current on HR, payroll, benefits, and regulatory trends impacting mid-market clients
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales, revenue, and activity targets
