Your Role
In the Analytical Scientist role, you will work in the Contract Testing, Development, and Manufacturing Organization (CTDMO) within the Life Sciences group at Millipore Sigma in St. Louis, MO. As an individual contributor in the Process and Analytical Development organization, you will perform analytical method development and optimization for external customers in the field of Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC). The role includes problem‑solving, meeting project timelines, and documenting method qualification and transfer into GMP manufacturing and quality control organizations.
Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on work executing analytical methods.
- Qualify and transfer analytical methods into Quality Control to support GMP release testing.
- Document and communicate experimental results with strong customer‑facing skills.
- Promptly deliver data, adhering to ALCOA+ principles for proper data documentation, and make data‑driven decisions.
- Manage daily activities independently, lead project initiatives, and drive process improvement.
- Act as a mentor to less experienced scientists, growing into a subject‑matter authority for troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in method development within a GMP/pre‑GMP environment.

- Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- 1+ year of experience in method development within a GMP/pre‑GMP environment.
- OR
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands‑on experience in separation science, including UPLC, RP‑HPLC, SEC, HIC, and/or IEX.
- Experience with protein analytics and spectroscopy (UV and slope).
- Prior experience working with customers and matrix teams.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital documentation (modern data acquisition systems and electronic notebooks).
$66,400.00 – $99,700.00. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by location, level of experience, education, skills, and other factors. The position may be eligible for sales or performance‑based bonuses.
