As a Security Officer - Armed Neighborhood Patrol in Saint Louis, MO
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage. At a busy grocery retail location you’ll conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a high level of visibility, deter incidents, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, customers and local responders as needed. • Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by following security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency‑response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the sales floor, receiving areas, parking lots and perimeter to deter theft, vandalism and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and deliveries, verify authorization as required, and document unusual activity in reports and logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and problem‑solving, including contacting emergency services when needed and supporting on‑site leadership with incident documentation.
• Operate security‑related equipment such as radios, cameras and alarm systems, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

• Applicants must have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer‑service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
