Security Officer Part Time Armed Driver

Allied Universal is hiring Security Officers who are motivated to grow into an armed role within six months. This position offers a clear advancement path, allowing you to begin in an unarmed capacity and increase earnings upon successful completion of armed certification requirements.

• Starting Pay: $18.93/hr (Unarmed)
• Increased Pay: $20.55/hr (Upon becoming armed within 6 months)

Pay Rate: $18.93 / Hour

Fixed shifts with anchor scheduling. Availability to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings across multiple sites. Part-time hours with potential to scale to up to 40 hours per week.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift as your base schedule. A six-month commitment is required.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build toward a full-time schedule (up to 40 hours per week).

• Provide customer service at the location while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities for an armed post.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and report security concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, and perimeter; stay alert to unusual activity, unauthorized access, and conditions affecting operations.
• Monitor access points; verify credentials, visitor activity, deliveries, and vehicle movement according to site protocols for a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Support incident response by deterring unwanted activity, assisting with evacuations or restricted-area control as needed, and maintaining a visible armed presence in assigned areas.

• Minimum of 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license as per Allied Universal policy.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by laws;
  Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
