Responsible for the safeguarding of property, assets, guests, visitors and associates by making continuous patrols of the property.
Essential Functions- Patrol property to ensure the safety of guests and associates and protect all property assets.
- Answer house calls and assist guests and associates with respect to safety, security and property operations.
- Initiate and follow‑up on all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.
- Assist sick and injured guests and associates, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports.
- Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow‑up with guests, visitors and associates, documenting all contacts.
- Maintain accurate records while performing basic office duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and associate and guest binder interaction.
- Ensure that any undesirable persons are handled without interrupting the orderly flow of property operations.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Follow all Security Department standards, including being relieved by the following shift officer(s) before clocking out.
- Assist supervisor in checking alarm systems, safety and fire equipment systems and closely monitoring the security of building doors, service areas and delivery areas.
- Patrol all associate areas.
- Note any safety hazards.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess basic computational ability.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of property policy and fire‑safety procedures.
- Ability to operate hand‑held two‑way radio and knowledge of ten codes.
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
Additional RequirementsAll associates must maintain a neat, clean and well‑groomed appearance. All associates must comply with the standards, rules and regulations established by the Company. Associates who violate property rules or have irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Work ScheduleThe hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty‑four hours a day. Employees may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime to reflect business needs. Employees may also be required to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to their work shift as necessary.
