Position SummaryThe Operations & Facilities Management Department (OFMD) at WashU Medicine provides essential services that sustain the medical campus mission of excellence in patient care, research, and education. PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Works with, maintains, and installs electrical circuits, conduit, wire sizing, breakers, and panels in compliance with NEC codes.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs electric motors and motor control centers (MCC).
- Installs and troubleshoots interior and exterior lighting, controls, and switches. Cleans and maintains electrical distribution systems, switch gear, emergency power systems, ATS, generators, and performs generator load bank testing.
- Uses various task-related metering equipment (multi, megger, tick tracer, circuit trace, etc.).
- Reads blueprints and maintains knowledge of tools and materials used in the trade.
- Prioritizes work and assesses service needs.
- Plans and completes short-range electrical repairs/installations.
- Estimates labor, requisitions materials, and coordinates long-range projects. Monitors outside contractor schedules and equipment installations. Coordinates and communicates service interruptions (e.g., utility outages). Follows through on work to verify that facility conditions are proper.
- Communicates facility conditions, problems, and needs to supervisors. Maintains effective communication with other maintenance staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $25.47 - $39.49 / Hourly
