Mechanical Plumber; Site Services

Position Summary

Our mechanical plumber will conduct repairs, replacements, installations, and maintenance of facility components, ensuring compliance with plumbing codes and regulations. You will apply trade skills of a Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter to maintain efficient operation of plumbing infrastructure.

• Apply principles of piping systems, including vacuum and flow at various pressures.
• Work with piping and plumbing system components and control devices such as valves, traps, regulators, vents, tanks, separators, and safety devices.
• Ensure safe and efficient transport of fluids and gases under various pressure conditions.
• Repair, maintain, install, and clean air conditioning and air handling equipment and components.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute plumbing projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and specifications.
• Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair systems, including vacuum, hydraulic systems, and perform shaft alignments for pump‑motor relations.
• Work with mechanical seals, lip seals, bearing replacement, bearing pulling tools, pipe and tube sizing, and high‑pressure hoses.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in plumbing and/or piping systems maintenance.
• 2+ years of commercial, industrial, or manufacturing experience.

• Journeyman Plumber license.
• 1+ year of pipe fitting experience.
• Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester certificate.
• Willingness to work a Tuesday through Saturday schedule.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

After the 31st day of employment you must become and remain a member in good standing in the union.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $43.80, with possible variation based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
