We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Installer in St. Louis to install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans to determine plumbing system layout for remodel projects.
- Identify materials, tools, and equipment needed for specific installation jobs.
- Select appropriate types and sizes of pipes and other plumbing materials based on project specifications.
- Accurately locate and mark positions for pipe installations, fixtures, and system connections in accordance with construction plans.
- Install pipe supports, brackets, and hangers to ensure secure and code-compliant plumbing systems.
- Assemble and install pipes, valves, fittings, and plumbing fixtures in remodel environments.
- Install water supply lines, drainage systems, and vent systems, including underground piping and rough-ins.
- Install and connect plumbing-related appliances such as water heaters, water softeners, and filtration systems.
- Conduct pressure testing and leak detection on newly installed plumbing systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Adhere to manufacturer requirements for system components and ensure installation quality meets local plumbing codes and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with field managers, general contractors, project managers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and accurately document installation progress for reference and inspection purposes.
- Follow company protocols for equipment handling, truck maintenance, and timely job site arrival.
- Uphold all company safety standards and OSHA regulations applicable to plumbing installation.
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity at all job sites.
- Foster a team-oriented environment by supporting coworkers, sharing best practices, and participating in company training opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support successful job completion.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Plumbing Installation for remodel, or new residential or commercial construction projects.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Plumbing license required. - Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plumbing schematics.
- Familiarity with state and local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail during system layout and installation.
- Excellent time management and ability to stay on schedule in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with general contractors, supervisors, and team members.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks associated with construction sites.
- Safety-conscious with a working knowledge of OSHA requirements related to plumbing installations.
To adequately perform the duties of this job, the employee is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, hand to finger, handle controls; hear, and talk. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 lbs and up. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work; employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons. The work environment will subject employees to continual interruptions and changing priorities.
Effective, consistent, and constant communication with customers, vendors, co-workers, and others is required.
