Responsibilities
As an Electrical Technician on our team, you are responsible for a range of electrical tasks, including wiring, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. This role involves ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Follow all applicable safety protocols and procedures.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components including wiring and connection of instruments, meters, pumps, transmitters, HMIs, VFDs, or other industrial equipment being manufactured or assembled.
- Perform electrical installation and troubleshooting in the shop or at customer sites.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation procedures.
- Test electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in all work activities.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure proper coordination of electrical work.
- Maintain accurate records of the electrical work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as requested or required.
- Maintain updated professional knowledge regarding electrical technology, codes, and standards.
- Provide estimates for material and labor costs related to electrical projects and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure timely completion of work and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Electrical Apprenticeship program or related Technical Training program required.
- Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Four (4) or more years of experience as an electrician or electrical technician.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Familiarity with electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
