Purpose
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on Chemline’s chemical processing equipment, facility systems, and utility infrastructure. Ensures equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and facility safety while supporting production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Scope and Responsibilities- Repairs and troubleshoot chemical processing equipment including pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators/mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and other chemical processing equipment.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities on all equipment and track data on findings.
- Perform general maintenance repairs to building and facility.
- Replace broken windows; repair doors, door locks and closets; install window blinds.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
- Assist with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repair plaster and drywall; paint building structures.
- Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Perform outside custodial duties as required.
- May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; order parts as needed.
- Minimum 5+ years mechanical experience in an industrial setting (preferably chemical industry)
- Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on chemical pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators/mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and other chemical processing equipment
- Solid understanding of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of facility machinery and equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience (ARC, MIG, TIG)
- Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception
- Pipe fitting experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to learn and grow with the company
- High school diploma preferred
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly required to talk and hear; occasionally required to sit
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 100 pounds
