Salary:
Starting salary is $65,000 per year plus 10% annual incentive opportunity. This is a non-exempt position and pay is subject to overtime based on hours worked.
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to support customers through equipment startups, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work. You will also support customers virtually and help ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and building trust with customers. You will work closely with customers and the Customer Support Manager to complete field service work safely, accurately, and on time while delivering a strong service experience.
Responsibilities Field Service- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Diagnose issues and complete repairs including root cause analysis
- Complete equipment start-ups and commissioning work
- Perform warranty and standard repair work
- Communicate repair needs clearly with customers and the Customer Support Manager
- Provide troubleshooting support onsite, by phone, and by email
- Leave each job site clean and organized
- Complete required service documentation in a timely way using a laptop, phone, or tablet
- Log service activities in Salesforce
- Track time and expenses daily
- Maintain accurate parts inventory and track parts usage
- Participate in training to build skills and product knowledge
- Support customer training both virtually and in person
- Participate in an on-call rotation every 4 to 6 weeks
Travel is required about 75-80% of the time. Travel is typically scheduled during the week. International travel may be required based on business needs.
Work EnvironmentSchedule is Monday to Friday with infrequent weekend work. Work includes time in the field, regular driving, and time in the office supporting customers virtually when not traveling. This role requires use of a laptop for documentation and the ability to travel with tools and equipment.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read and troubleshoot using mechanical drawings and wiring schematics
- Knowledge of A and D electrical systems and diagnostic tools
- Ability to track work, parts, and time accurately
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Technical training or military experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to travel with tools and luggage over 50 pounds
- Work in a hands on role that makes a direct impact for customers
