Disassembles interlocking navigation and interrelated electrical, mechanical systems, subsystems, standby and related equipment to determine extent of repairs, overhaul and/or replacement parts needed.

Makes recommendations when major repairs are needed so that coordinated effort can take place relative to temporary repair, technical engineering review, procurement of replacement items and maintenance of locking or dam control capability.

Installs new equipment systems or subsystems to replace faulty or worn items which cannot be effectively repaired or repaired in a timely manner.

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and/or monitoring installation of new and replacement units within the integrated system for telephone and public address systems.

Diagnoses, lays out, installs, tests, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, instruments apparatus, and equipment.

Conducts regular inspections of electrical equipment, tests and adjusts electrical systems, instrument apparatus and equipment, notes defects and performs preventative maintenance functions.
