Cool Sys, a leader in sustainable, energy-efficient HVACR solutions, is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician to join our HVAC Wholesale team. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy savings for clients across North America. You will diagnose system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide exceptional customer service on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced service, repair, and maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems to ensure safe, reliable, and energy-efficient operation.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues using advanced tools, test instruments, and control system interfaces.
  • Install, start up, and commission HVAC/R equipment and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Cool
  • Sys standards.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to maximize equipment life and performance.
  • Interpret technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, schematics, service manuals, and engineering drawings, to guide troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management teams to support system upgrades, retrofits, and energy-efficiency improvement projects.
  • Communicate clearly with customers on work performed, system conditions, recommendations, and options, ensuring a professional and customer-focused experience.
  • Maintain accurate, timely service records, work orders, and asset information using company-provided mobile or CMMS tools.
  • Adhere to all Cool
  • Sys safety policies and industry regulations, including proper handling of refrigerants, lockout/tagout, and jobsite safety practices.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians in the field by sharing technical knowledge, best practices, and safe work habits.
