Yard Technician

Satellite Shelters is seeking a Yard Technician to support our modular building operations. In this hands-on role, you'll clean, inspect, and prepare mobile offices and modular units for delivery and return, performing basic repairs, touch-up painting, and minor carpentry. You'll safely move and stage units, steps, and ramps, maintain an organized yard, and follow strict safety standards. Working with a collaborative team, you'll help deliver reliable space solutions for customers in construction, education, energy, and other essential industries while gaining strong training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, and refurbish modular buildings, mobile offices, and related units for delivery and return
• Inspect units for damage, wear, and safety issues; document findings and report needed repairs
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, minor repairs, and hardware replacement on yard inventory
• Move, stage, and set modular units, steps, ramps, and accessories safely using yard equipment
• Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and inventory to maintain a clean, efficient yard
• Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines at all times
• Assist drivers and field teams with unit setup, teardown, and configuration changes
• Use basic hand and power tools, pressure washers, and cleaning equipment correctly
• Complete work orders, checklists, and inspection forms accurately and on time
• Collaborate with yard and operations staff to meet schedules and support customer needs
