Seasonal Camp Manager; R&R

The Camp Manager roles will provide a quality experience for individuals with developmental disabilities (13 years and up) at a residential camping facility for two weekends a month.

Assists in the implementation of leisure opportunities (team and individual sports, games, arts and crafts); supervises staff and participants; and provides direct support (dressing, showering, toileting, eating, transferring, communication) to participants. Weekend activities focus around participants’ personal goals and individualized support plan.

In addition to the duties of the Assistant Camp Manager, the role manages support staff, assists with problem solving, conflict resolution, communication with parents, and maintains a clean and positive atmosphere when the Coordinator is not present.

The flexible, respectful individual we seek is an innovative and quick thinker with the following qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in special education, social work, occupational or recreation therapy, health and/or human services is helpful)
• Three or more years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or related camping experience
• Reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license and auto insurance
