Director of Social Services – Make a Difference Every Day
McKnight Place Extended Care, an award-winning senior living community in St. Louis, is looking for a Director of Social Services to support residents and families while leading a comprehensive psychosocial care program. This role is key in advocating for resident needs, guiding families, and fostering a positive, supportive environment.
What You'll Do:
- Lead resident service plan meetings and maintain psychosocial care documentation
- Support residents and families with resources and resident rights
- Educate staff and families on mental health, dementia, and related topics
- Complete assessments (MMSE, GDS, FAST) for new residents
- Refer residents to community agencies when needed
- Serve as weekend Manager on Duty on rotation

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work Required (Master's preferred).
- 1+ year in senior living, skilled nursing, or hospital setting required.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
