Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

The Club Director is responsible for managing the daily operation of designated club site with primary concern of the highest levels of program quality and implementation of a programmatic outcome- driven Club experience and measurement strategy with daily data that drives the Formula for Impact, supervision of staff, community relations, membership and all related administration.

Experience:

Minimum of three years of experience working with children in a group setting, management experience is a plus.

Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services Medical Examination Report for Caregivers and Staff must meet acceptable standards from the State of Missouri, completed within 30 days of hire.

TB Risk Assessment and Examination completed within 30 days of hire.

Annual results of Family Care Safety Registry background screening must be deemed acceptable by the State of Missouri.

Annual results of nationwide background screening must meet barrier crimes standards for organizational membership with Boys & Girls Clubs or America.

Club Director ensures that all staff, including self, meets qualifications and ongoing training requirements per state licensing regulations (12 hrs. annually).

Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or roll up to 20-25 pounds.

Capable of prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing, walking, and speaking and occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching and working in front of PC monitor.

Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word as well as convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly in addition to perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels and ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication and make fine discriminations in sounds is necessary for the safety of the children in the program.

The employee may be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Inside weather conditions provides protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes and outside environmental conditions provides no effective protection from weather.

The employee may be subject to sufficient noise to cause the employee to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.

Local travel as well as some regional travel is required in performance of duties.

Routine reporting and grant deadlines; variance in work volume.

Create opportunities for members to receive personalized assistance.

Exercise creativity and mental flexibility in presenting instruction and programming to accommodate members of widely varying learning styles, intellectual levels, and abilities.

Voicemail and e-mail are checked daily. Attends all meetings and events and notifies appropriate staff prior to missing a meeting/event and follows up to get important information.

Applies theories about how youth learn and develop in the domains of physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and creative to BGCSTL programming.

Club Director establishes an environment that provides learning experiences that meet the needs, capabilities, and interests of each youth.

Observes and assesses what youth know and can do in order to provide curriculum that meets their developmental learning needs.

Works collaboratively with families and agencies/organizations to meet the needs of youth and encouraging community’s involvement with youth development.

Establishes and maintains environments that manage risk, ensures safety, promotes physical and mental well-being, and encourages healthy lifestyles.

Establishes supportive relationships with children and youth, works to guide and empower them as individuals as well as being part of a group.

Actively participates in program planning, delivery, and evaluation of youth development programs.

Demonstrates high levels of ethical conduct through actions to BGCSTL youth, families, and surrounding communities.

Professionals increase their knowledge through ongoing training and education. Club Director understands responsibilities as a mandated reporter.
