Embedded Youth Mental Health Therapist
For more than 20+ years, CHADS Coalition has partnered with schools, families, and communities throughout the St. Louis region to improve youth mental health and prevent suicide. Our work includes counseling, prevention education, family support, postvention services, and community partnerships that help young people build resilience before a crisis occurs. As an Embedded Youth Mental Health Therapist, you'll provide therapy and support in schools and community partner locations, including Normandy Schools Collaborative, the 24:1 Community Center, Epworth's Drop-In Center, and other assigned sites.
- Provide trauma-informed individual, family, and group counseling for youth ages 12–25.
- Complete assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
- Support youth experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and other mental health concerns.
- Help families navigate behavioral health services and connect with community resources.
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and community partners to improve student well-being.
- Facilitate support groups and participate in multidisciplinary planning and intervention efforts.
- Coordinate care with internal and external providers while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Participate in program development, quality improvement, and prevention initiatives.
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Missouri LMSW, PLPC, or equivalent license eligible for clinical practice.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Full-time, exempt, 11-month position. Typical hours are Monday–Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (40 hours weekly), with occasional flexibility requested to support school and community events.
