Job Summary

The Housekeeper cleans dining rooms, lobbies, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, conference/family rooms, and offices, at Good Shepherd Children & Family Services.

Job Responsibilities
  • All floor care includes dust mopping, wet mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, and draperies.
  • Strips, waxes, and buffs floors.
  • Cleans furniture includes upholstered furniture, desktops, and tabletops.
  • Cleans lobbies, lounges, restrooms, hallways, and stairways.
  • Dusts furniture and high and low area of walls. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels and sills.
  • Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replace light bulbs.
  • Observes and reports all safety and maintenance deficiencies.
  • Sets up cafeteria and events.
  • Help the organization meet its quality improvement, evaluation, and reporting requirements by contributing to developing outcomes, participating in data collection, interpreting data, and applying it to improve practices and outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 months related experience.
  • Be team oriented and able to work independently.
