Quality Assurance Engineer
Location:
St. Louis, MO. Join WWT’s Identity and Access Management team to build and maintain scalable platforms for managing identities and administering access to corporate resources.
- Create and execute manual testing to ensure production readiness and build automated UI and integration tests.
- Foster an environment with comprehensive automated integration, load, performance, and UI tests to ensure quality of large‑scale systems.
- Perform exploratory, cross‑browser, and boundary tests of new and existing features.
- Contribute to continuous improvement processes and mindsets.
- Partner and develop relationships with broader QA resources across the IT organization.
- Leverage monitoring and observability platforms to track critical performance and uptime objectives.
- Determine appropriate metrics to enable continuous improvement of processes, techniques, and technologies from a quality perspective.
- Assist with root‑cause analysis of defects and troubleshoot and debug issues within the software.
- Provide high‑availability support for applications and platforms to ensure uptime.
- 3+ years of practical experience in QA.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
- Knowledge of detecting and tracking software defects.
- Comfortable with websites, mobile apps, and backend APIs.
- Self‑motivated pursuit of new skills and understanding of software design and quality engineering.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Browser Stack, k6).
- Knowledge of programming languages, particularly Go.
- Basic understanding of relational databases.
- Experience with observability platforms (Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Splunk) is a plus.
- Understanding of REST and Graph
QL APIs and use of Postman for data verification and test data setup. - Interest in IAM concepts such as SSO and account management is preferred.
- Team‑oriented with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable working well in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
