Location: St. Louis
Software Java Engineer, St. Louis, MO (Hybrid – 3 days to office)
Only St. Louis, MO – Local candidates. Senior Software Engineer in the Ofallon/Winghaven location will build a new product in the Digital Payment Space. This role leads software engineering projects and delivers software solutions for mobile and e-commerce payment solutions.
Qualifications- Experience with Java, JEE, Java Messaging Service
- Experience with two or more of the following:
Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Web Services, SQL, PL/SWL, Pivotal Cloud Foundry - Proficient communication skills with verbal and written English
- Degree in a technical related field (preferred)
- Interest and ability to learn new coding languages, frameworks, and paradigms as needed
- Minimum of 7 years experience in back end Java development and related field
- Broad understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies
- Back end Java Development
- API – Restful Services
- Automated Unit Testing (JUnit)
- Spring MVC
- SQL skills – ability to work with tables, views, and stored procedures
- GIT
- High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure
- High degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written – and collaborative, organizational skills
- Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities, work as part of a matrix-based diverse and geographically distributed project team
- Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering secure solutions in the Financial Services Sector (preferred)
- PCF – Pivotal Cloud Foundry
- Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Jersey for JAX-RS, J2EE Design Patterns, Apache Camel, Maven, Active MQ (preferred)
- Develop application logic for a multi-component system of applications
- Ensure the final product is highly performant, responsive, and of high quality
- Deliver completed code on time and with minimal to no defects or failures
- Ensure all new logic maintains current unit test coverage standards or higher
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
- Support testing resources as needed to remediate defects, answer questions and assist with automation tasks
- Actively participate in the Agile Ceremonies, including Daily Scrum, Story Pointing, Story Elaboration, and Retrospectives
