Software Engineer Co-Op

Job Summary

Join Nidec Corporation, a global leader in electric motors and integrated controls, to develop next‑generation solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets.

As a Co‑op Engineer, you will work with an engineering team to learn practical skills in software controls. You will assist engineers in the technical development, evaluation, and application of products and processes.

• Assist in testing and verification of PC‑based and embedded software.
• Develop PC‑based software for internal and external use.
• Perform tests and measurements on electronic controls and motors.
• Assemble prototypes and samples.
• Support engineering on purchasing electronic components, test equipment, and mechanical parts.
• Assist with electronic lab activities, including test equipment calibration and maintaining lab cleanliness.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or requested.

• Educational Requirements: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Working Requirements: 25‑29 hours while attending school.
