Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering
  • This role requires comfort working alongside AI‑powered tools while maintaining strong engineering judgment, validation, and accountability for outcomes.
  • Senior Engineers will contribute to the adoption and continuous improvement of AI‑enabled workflows by providing feedback, identifying opportunities for automation, and safely incorporating AI assistance into repeatable operational patterns.
  • This includes leveraging approved AI tools and agents to assist with platform operations, troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and workflow efficiency under established governance and best practices.
  • Senior Engineers on the INFOPS Application Development team are expected to actively use and support AI‑assisted and agentic engineering workflows as part of their day‑to‑day work.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, operating, and troubleshooting production workloads. Experience with Red Hat Open Shift is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining Kubernetes‑based platforms across development, test, and production environments.
  • Experience administering or enabling at least one enterprise platform or shared service such as:
    • MongoDB
    • PostgreSQL
    • Redis
    • RabbitMQ
    • Apache Solr
  • Demonstrated experience with service mesh architectures, traffic management, or load balancing in Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows using tools such as Git Hub, Jenkins, Codefresh, APIs, and Git Ops‑based approaches.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration‑as‑code, and automation practices (e.g., Helm, Ansible, Terraform, YAML‑based pipelines).
  • Strong Linux skills with demonstrated knowledge of operating system concepts and administration.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability solutions; experience with Prometheus and Grafana is a strong plus.
  • Comfort scripting or coding in languages such as Shell, Python, or Node.js.
  • Proven problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • A self‑starter mindset with strong ownership, organization, and a passion for learning new technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Salary Range

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $52 per hour to $65 per hour. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.

Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Engineer on the INFOPS Application Development team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating the platforms that support WWT’s internal application development organization. This position blends hands‑on technical execution with platform ownership, automation, and close collaboration with application and partner engineering teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will help design, build, and maintain a hybrid platform environment, integrating on‑premises infrastructure with cloud services. A core responsibility of this role is owning and evolving the Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform, including configuration and lifecycle management across development, testing, and production environments.
