Senior Software Engineer, Level 3 - Clearance Required

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full‑time Software Engineer. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP): requirements analysis, object‑oriented analysis & design, code & unit testing, integration, and support for formal test/delivery.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++. Must be a US Citizen; this position requires Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting and will be located at a facility that requires special access.

• Experience with programming languages such as C or C++.
• Standard teaming:
  Ability to work with multi‑disciplined teams.
• Experience with full software life‑cycle development including SW design, architecture and integration & test.
• Active/Final Secret Clearance.

• Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience – Green Hill or VxWorks.
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Previous experience writing and designing to software requirements.

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Onsite full‑time.

Schedule:

9x80 every other Friday off.

Annual base salary ranges from $93,200 to $164,450 in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC. For other states, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. The salary information is a general guideline only.
