Principal Engineer (St. Louis, MO)
Principal Engineer to lead IT project strategies in software architecture & development of digital, data, and AI solutions, leveraging cloud-native, event-driven, and serverless architectures; lead teams in implementing & operating secure, scalable, and resilient architectures for automation, observability, and self-service platforms; design & implement real-time data, analytics, and AI solutions; mentor & train engineers.
Responsibilities- Lead IT project strategies in software architecture & development of digital, data, and AI solutions, leveraging cloud-native, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
- Lead teams in implementing & operating secure, scalable, and resilient architectures for automation, observability, and self-service platforms.
- Design & implement real-time data, analytics, and AI solutions.
- Mentor & train engineers.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a consumer health, life sciences and/or pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience designing & operating GxP Lake houses in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and Eudra Lex Annex
11 using AWS Sagemaker Unified Studio, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. - Implementing Zero‑Trust and Governance‑as‑Code to automate security controls.
- Using Terraform to automate Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification documentation within CI/CD and/or Dev Sec Ops pipelines and regulatory workloads.
- Designing & implementing real-time Agentic AI strategies and life sciences business flows for autonomous reasoning and RAG implementations.
- Scaling AI‑MLOps using Sage Maker, EKS, and/or Databricks, including Federated Learning & Explainable AI for clinical validation.
- Applying Differential Privacy, Safety & Federated Learning to patient datasets for cross-border AI training.
- Managing engineering delivery & excellence within Global Capability Centers.
Telecommuting permissible from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of St. Louis, MO up to 2 days per week. Up to 20% U.S. and international travel required.
