Engineer IV

Edward Jones seeks an experienced Engineer IV to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale technology solutions supporting our finance and insurance platforms. In this role, you will architect secure, resilient systems, lead complex projects from concept through production, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional partners. You will drive modernization, automation, and data integration efforts that enhance client-facing tools and advisor productivity.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable, secure enterprise systems for finance and insurance platforms
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects
• Develop and review high-quality code, tests, and documentation
• Implement integration, APIs, and data pipelines supporting business workflows
• Drive modernization, cloud adoption, and automation initiatives
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and reliability standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, improving observability and performance
• Collaborate with product, security, and business stakeholders to refine requirements
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers
• Contribute to engineering best practices, standards, and technical roadmaps
