We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Dispatcher to coordinate loads, communicate with drivers, and work directly with existing customers and freight brokers. A primary focus of this role is securing and routing return freight back to St. Louis, MO to maximize equipment utilization and minimize deadhead miles.

Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000 Annually

• Coordinate daily dispatch operations for company drivers
• Work with existing customers to schedule and confirm loads
• Communicate with freight brokers to secure profitable backhauls to St. Louis, MO
• Plan efficient routes and monitor driver progress
• Negotiate rates and confirm load details
• Maintain accurate load documentation and records
• Provide real-time updates to customers and management
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
• Resolve issues that arise during transit (delays, breakdowns, schedule changes)

• Previous experience as a trucking dispatcher or in transportation logistics preferred
• Strong knowledge of load boards and freight brokerage processes
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office
• Understanding of DOT regulations is a plus
