Overview
Picture your morning starting at 7:00 a.m. You load the truck, confirm your stops, and head out to keep workplaces fueled with fresh coffee and tea. As our OCS Route Sales Specialist providing route relief, you’ll own the customer experience at each stop—making sure beverage stations are stocked, spotless, and set to standard, while growing sales and strengthening relationships.

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; overtime when needed - Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical
- Clean, strong driving record required
- Sell, deliver, replenish, and rotate coffee, tea, and related products on assigned routes.
- Keep beverage equipment clean and operating properly; complete a minimum of one CQC (Cup Quality Check) each day.
- Address and escalate issues quickly to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Service every customer on the daily schedule with timely deliveries and in‑person support.
- Manage invoices, inventory, and collections each day while on route.
- Increase Revenue per Stop by closing distribution gaps on core items, executing seasonal/LTO promotions, applying pricing actions, and ensuring beverage stations are set to standard.
- Flag inefficiencies, customer dissatisfaction, or new opportunities to the ASM while running route relief.
- Support the ASM with inventory cycle counts, warehouse tasks, and customer‑related initiatives as assigned.
- Learn brewing equipment and perform basic adjustments or minor repairs.
- Consistently follow the Farmer Brothers customer call process (The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell); make additional sales calls when time allows.
- Pitch in as needed with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Route delivery experience a plus
- Customer service background preferred
- Food service industry experience desired
- Mechanical aptitude with company hardware and software
- Strong needs assessment and active listening skills
- Committed to company goals; uses sound business judgment and decisive thinking
- Proactive problem‑solver who spots issues and opportunities quickly
- Builds rapport and productive relationships with customers and teammates
- Works independently with minimal supervision; communicates clearly and effectively
