Delivery Driver/Warehouse (St. Louis, MO)

Connor Co., a company rich in history, currently has an available Delivery Driver/Warehouse position at our St. Louis, MO branch. We seek a career-minded person looking for a long-term position with a great company.

• Pass a pre‑employment background check and drug testing.
• Be available to work from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition: check fluid levels and tire pressure and notify Branch Manager before obtaining or scheduling required repairs.
• Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following the manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and scheduling repairs.
• Loads delivery truck with product securely — avoid damages.
• Delivers items by identifying destinations, establishing routes, operating the truck, unloading items, maintaining the schedule.
• Uses cell phone to report on the progress of deliveries.
• Picks up returned items for the company.
• Verifies products delivered against packing slip and has customer sign receipt.
• Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints.
• Enhances the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
• Processes inbound materials to the warehouse. Compares quantities shown on packing slips or manifests with actual items received.
• Efficient and effective loading and unloading of trucks.
• Inspects items according to instructions and reports damaged goods.
• Ensures materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouse.
• Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and puts in the proper container or designated area.
• General housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, dusting.
• Assists customers at the counter.
• Performs other duties as requested.

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (Missouri Class F or equivalent) and clean driving record.

• Critical thinker – using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions.
• Mathematical reasoning – ability to choose suitable methods or formulas to solve problems.
• Ability to learn Eclipse software.
• Must be very detail‑oriented and focused for accuracy.
• Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.
• Must have strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Must maintain a patient and professional attitude while managing a busy workload.

• Must be able to determine and prioritize workload.
• Ability to read directions and use a street map to plot a delivery route.

• Normal warehouse environment.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
• Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
