Job Description
Located in Saint Louis, MO, Laclede Cab is hiring independent contractor Taxi Cab Drivers for driving sedans, vans, or SUVs to pick up customers through our dispatch system, app, text, website, or direct contact.
Responsibilities- Drive Laclede Cab vehicles safely and efficiently to pick up customers placed through the dispatch system.
- Use the company dispatch system to receive and confirm ride requests.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and oversee timely maintenance, with free vehicle maintenance supplied by the company.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to qualify for monetary rewards for safe driving (first reward possible as early as 21 days).
- Participate in random monthly drawings for free items and earn referral rewards for recruiting new drivers.
- Attend mandatory training: free in‑house and on‑road instruction with a supervisor.
- Perform required background checks, a physical exam, a drug test, and a fingerprint check.
- Adhere to a self‑determined schedule, leveraging the on‑road work model.
- Valid Missouri Class F driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Illinois applicants must hold a valid Illinois license.
- Minimum of 2 years driving experience.
- Ability to pass a physical exam, drug screening, and fingerprint background check.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service.
- Base pay of $596.00 – $1,165.80 per week, with tips and safety incentives.
- Flexible, self‑determined schedule.
- Liability insurance provided as part of the lease.
- Free training and vehicle maintenance provided.
- Additional rewards: safety incentives, monthly drawings for free items, referral bonuses, and recognition for 5‑star service.
