Position SummaryThe Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
ScheduleEvery other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 5:45P - 6AM
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities, plan and ensure continuous improvement. Effectively informs senior management and client representatives of critical issues that affect operations. Ensures the development of systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably in accordance with company policies. Manages operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals. Compliance with site operating agreement with the client.
Implements and reports on ongoing cost savings measures. Provides ideas and suggestions for more efficient operations. Meets all client‑specified KPIs and complies with quality system requirements. Oversees training and evaluation of warehouse staff. Plans the daily work schedule by reviewing work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions. Assesses priorities, assigns duties, and monitors progress. Provides direction and support to Human Resources and assists in hiring, training, and professional development.
Participates in the performance evaluation system. Maintains high motivation in team members to provide highest level of customer satisfaction. Provides ongoing growth and development opportunities. Supports adherence to SOPs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
- Preferred:
Prior MHE certification and knowledge of basic MHE operation. - Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), RF scanners, WMS functions.
- Business communication and written/oral communication skills.
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for inventory verification.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Excellent organizational and personnel skills.
- Leadership, supervision, and planning skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to adapt to change and work in fast‑paced environment.

CompensationExpected base pay range: $60,500.00 - $65,500.00.
