What you’ll be doing day to day
- Perform core warehouse processes including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment, and storing of goods with a focus on accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Execute daily operations effectively using available systems and tools to support efficient workflows and maintain data integrity.
- Unload, process, and handle inbound and outbound merchandise safely, securing goods for proper movement throughout the distribution center.
- Identify, document, and remove any damages found or caused during handling of merchandise.
- Contribute to goal setting for overall warehouse operations and support implementation of local business plans and improvement projects.
- Analyze daily and seasonal workload demands to ensure efficient volume handling and resource planning.
- Support high goods availability through timely and precise execution of assigned tasks.
- Work in a lean, simple, and cost-conscientious manner, sharing good practices to optimize daily operations.
- Follow all IKEA health, safety, and security rules, actively helping to prevent incidents involving co-workers, customers, equipment, and products.
- Collaborate with colleagues and take responsibility for additional tasks or projects as assigned.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (30 kg) ergonomically, and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Fluent in English and the local language, both written and spoken.
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required.
Job type:
Warehouse/Forklift seasonal position.
Hours:
20-34 hours per week, 5:00‑13:00 inbound, averaging 3–4 days per week. Position ending September 2026.
Pay range: $19.96–$28.00 per hour (based on IKEA equivalent years of experience).
