Porter Porter – Freezer Warehouse Job Description

The Porter is responsible for maintaining clean, clear, and safe aisles throughout a freezer warehouse environment. This role focuses on sweeping, trash removal, and general housekeeping duties to support warehouse operations and ensure a safe work environment for employees operating equipment and handling products.

• Sweep warehouse aisles using a push broom.
• Remove boxes, packaging materials, and trash from work areas.
• Perform general janitorial and housekeeping duties.
• Dispose of trash and debris in designated containers.
• Keep aisles and floors clean, clear, and free of hazards.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE, including freezer suit, gloves, face mask, and jacket.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Maintain reliable attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or warehouse cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to sweep large warehouse areas and perform continuous cleaning tasks.
• Comfortable working in freezer temperatures ranging from approximately -10°F to
  -20°F.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Strong attention to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Ability to work scheduled weekends and afternoon shifts.
• Willingness to wear required cold-weather PPE.

• Experience in a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
• Strong attendance and punctuality record.
• Interested in long-term employment and growth opportunities.

• Freezer warehouse distributing frozen food products.
• Temperatures range from approximately -10°F to
  -20°F.
• Shift starts at 3:00 PM and runs until production is complete (typically 8 hours).
• Weekend work is required.
• Company provides freezer suit, gloves, face mask, and jacket.
• Employees must provide their own composite toe shoes (steel toe shoes are not permitted).

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Saint Louis, MO.
