Facilities and Inventory Manager

This is an on-site, in-office position at Geneoscopy HQ in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Facilities and Inventory Manager balances standard facilities maintenance with end-to-end inventory control in a 50/50 operational role. This position is responsible for overseeing site maintenance, vendor relationships, and workplace functionality, as well as managing stock levels, receiving incoming shipments, conducting regular cycle counts, and distributing supplies throughout the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Facilities Operations (50%)
    • Day-to-Day Operations:
      Maintain daily facility operations to ensure building functionality, cleanliness, and readiness for regular business use and special events.
    • Vendor & Contractor Management:
      Schedule routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs with external service providers; negotiate service contracts.
    • Site Upkeep:
      Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, safety, and operational standards of interior and exterior areas (offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor spaces).
  • Inventory Management (50%)
    • Tracking & Systems:
      Maintain accurate stock records, usage metrics, and inventory logs utilizing Microsoft Excel.
    • Receiving & Distribution:
      Receive, inspect, log, and unload incoming shipments; promptly distribute supplies, equipment, and laboratory materials to their respective departments.
    • Cycle Counts & Audits:
      Plan and perform routine physical cycle counts to verify stock accuracy, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and prevent stockouts.
    • Purchasing & Supply Chain:
      Monitor laboratory and manufacturing inventory thresholds, monitor safety stock levels, and relay needs to purchasing in a timely manner. Placing orders for facilities, indirect, and other ad hoc needs.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, OR
  • High school diploma with equivalent practical experience in facility/warehouse operations
Qualifications
  • Possess 3-5 years' experience in facilities and inventory management.
  • Demonstrate proficiency within Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, inventory tracking spreadsheets).
  • Possess hands-on experience with power tools and basic handwork proficiency.
  • Exemplify the ability to multitask and thrive in an agile, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills, while willing to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization to achieve the desired results.
  • Possess high ethics and conduct business in the most professional manner.

This is a salaried position, requiring at least 40 hours per week. There may be projects that require activities beyond the standard hours.

  • Base salary range: annually determined based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, and abilities.
