Accounting Manager

Japanese leading automotive parts manufacturing company in OH seeks Accounting Manager to lead and oversee our day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for financial closing processes, reporting, tax coordination, cash management, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a background in manufacturing finance.

Exempt position

7am
-4 pm, M-F onsite full time

$90K-100K plus bonus and fabulous health benefits package + visa sponsorship

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and trial balance
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and disbursements
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as primary contact with external auditors
• Manage tax-related matters in partnership with external advisors
• Perform cost accounting and cost analysis to support operations
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Deliver monthly reporting packages to the parent company
• Prepare financial reports for executive leadership and board meetings
• Develop and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency
• Manage and mentor accounting team members
• Collaborate with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Prior experience managing accounting or finance staff
• Strong knowledge of full accounting cycle and financial reporting
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Experience supporting audits and tax filings
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
• Cost accounting experience (inventory, product costing, variance analysis) highly preferred
• ERP system experience required (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with both Japanese and English
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
