Job Summary
Consumer Banker will work with existing FFB clients and prospect for new clients to deepen relationships by booking business directly and referring to internal partners such as Mortgage, Wealth, Small Business, Commercial, and Treasury Management.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities- Open accounts and perform maintenance; run a teller drawer as needed.
- Support client engagement via active calling, conversations, and follow‑up.
- Align daily activities with The First Financial Bank Experience, partnering with internal constituencies to provide appropriate expertise.
- Ensure timely client follow‑up calls and maintain all operational and risk management standards.
- Assist clients in transacting business within the branch, drive‑thru, by phone, and email.
- Model First Financial’s mission and values for peers and coworkers.
- Adhere to all compliance and regulatory procedures.
- Execute against retail strategies with District Specialists to attract, retain, and grow core client relationships.
- Act as a trusted advisor using the First Client Conversation Model.
- Lead and participate in the First Financial Bank Experience through huddles and meetings.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales, service, and referral goals.
- Provide digital assistance for clients using the bank’s online offerings.
- Stay informed on all bank products, procedures, and especially complex ones.
- 3–4 years client‑service experience in a retail environment.
- 3–4 years sales and service experience with a history of meeting goals.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Notary authorization may be obtained.
- Strong bank product knowledge and solid sales skills.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Supports the management needs for the FCM.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, and drive.
Associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, including Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, OFAC, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements.
