Responsibilities
Perform the required duties in accordance with safety guidelines and lean principles by complying with all safety procedures and all company policies.
Use various types of powered industrial vehicles and crane systems to move materials.
- Ensures all materials are labeled, packaged, and shipped in accordance to work instruction / guidelines.
- Prepares export documents, bills of lading, packing lists, and miscellaneous forms.
- Uses knowledge of the air and motor freight systems, practices, rates, and the routing to effect the most practical and economic method of shipment.
- Ensures appropriate preparing, expediting, dispatching, picking and loading of shipments.
- Completes various types of paperwork related to inspections and production reporting.
- Properly document incoming goods or products to work standards.
- Verify product / quantity and ensures raw parts and materials are stored safely in the proper location.
- Understand and facilitate Kanban inventory system accuracy.
- Maintains work areas by cleaning and organizing the space and equipment.
- Actively participates in company-sponsored training programs.
- Completes additional duties and projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be able to read tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks that may be repetitive.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
- Previous over-head crane experience preferred.

- Attractive compensation packages designed to hire and retain the best talents in the industry. The starting rate for this position is $25.84/hour and goes up to $28.26/hour. While on an off-shift, there is also a $1.00/hour shift premium.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. The employee will regularly bend, stoop, and stretch handling parts/objects in various situations. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception.
This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
