Material Handler / Forklift Operator
The Material Handler / Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and staging materials throughout the facility to support daily operations. This role requires previous forklift experience and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or storage as required
- Move raw materials, finished goods, and scrap to designated areas
- Verify materials against paperwork and report discrepancies
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Maintain accurate material flow to support production schedules
- Perform basic inspections of forklift equipment and report issues
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
- Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred or ability to certify)
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Industrial/warehouse setting
- Exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment
- PPE required (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
- Fast-paced, team-oriented operation
