Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a KY or Compact license, EPIC experience, and advanced dysrhythmia competency.

• Work in a hospital-based Telemetry and Neuro Stepdown unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on the unit
• Cardiac monitoring and management of dysrhythmias are core responsibilities
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00 – 07:00)
• Uses EPIC electronic medical record system
• Care for neuro, cardiac, gastrointestinal, renal, orthopedic, respiratory, and post-surgical patients
• Responsibilities include cardiac interpretation and emergency response using rapid response teams
• Provide care involving IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of various lines and drains
• Manage complex patients including those with neurological injuries, renal failure, and orthopedic trauma
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, and manage respiratory support equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and HFNC
• Adhere to isolation precautions and perform wound care including wound vac usage
• Dress code and scrub requirements to be confirmed

• Active KY or Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia (EKG) competency exam
• Minimum two references required for consideration
