Travel RN - ICU - Coronary Care Unit​/CCU

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac ICU (CICU) position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification, with no prior experience required.

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the care team
• Familiarity with computer systems and applications or ability to be trained

• Work in a 10-bed cardiac ICU treating severe heart conditions
• Care includes advanced devices such as balloon pumps and impellas, along with invasive monitoring
• Typical patient ratio is 1-2 patients per nurse
• Day shift schedule, 7A-7P
• 36 hours per week over 3 days
• 0.9 FTE position
• Provide direct patient care including nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities for patients
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
• Develop and prioritize individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and inter-professional team input
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Promote a positive, healing environment through collaborative teamwork
