American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a surgical services department
• Facility provides care for over 9000 patients per year across four operating rooms and four procedure rooms
• Services include endoscopy, pain management, ENT, general surgery, hand and foot surgery, and orthopedic procedures
• Schedule prefers 4x10-hour shifts, with flexibility considered for the right candidate
• Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week at 1.0 FTE

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care through assessment, treatment planning, and coordination across the surgical care team
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments considering culture, age, and developmental level
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to prioritize patient needs and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on procedures, treatments, and discharge planning
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Promote a positive team environment and adhere to evidence-based nursing practices
