American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift Cardiovascular Unit position, open to candidates with no prior nursing experience required.

• Work in a hospital's Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) providing intermediate care for cardiac surgery patients from pre-op through discharge
• Care for pre/post-cardiac intervention patients including PTCA, cardioversion, generator implants, and TAVR
• Additional beds support patients with atypical chest pain requiring monitoring
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a), 36 hours per week, 3 shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday coverage required per unit needs

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for cardiac and cardiovascular patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
