Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a small but dynamic construction company located in Shoreview, Minnesota. In this role, you will oversee essential accounting operations and contribute to the financial health of a business that specializes in building high-quality homes. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within a close-knit team in a recently remodeled office.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Process invoices and handle weekly check runs to maintain smooth financial operations.

- Oversee receipt management and ensure proper documentation for insurance purposes.

- Complete month-end close procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

- Generate and review financial reports at the start of each month using Quick Books and Adaptive Build software.

- Enter payroll data into the system, collaborating with external payroll providers for seamless processing.

- Maintain accurate records of credit card transactions and expense reporting.

- Support the construction accounting process for multiple ongoing projects, ranging in value from $500,000 to $3 million.

- Assist with integrating automation tools into financial workflows.

- Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive and efficient office environment.

Requirements - Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, ideally within the construction industry.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and familiarity with Adaptive Build or similar finance automation tools.

- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

- Ability to perform month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

- Experience with payroll systems, preferably ADP, and data entry for payroll processing.

- Knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.

- High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Comfort with technology and willingness to adapt to new software and tools.
